Why Kontera and Not the Other Guy? – My Kontera Success Story
RE: MVP Rewards – Tell Us Your Kontera Success, Win a Kindle.
Blogging is not new to the World Wide Web, especially a blog about technology. There are many blogs, websites and even podcasts dedicated to the technology industry each with its own point of view and style of presenting, reviewing, ranting of news & information. As a die-heart info-maniac I follow many of these vehicles of technological news & information. After visiting many of these resources for technology news & information, I begin to feel a like a broken record was playing in my head because of the frequency of same topics across these different mediums.
After I discovered this burden in my favorite media resources, I said to myself what if I started my own blog? A blog that would not only filter the good and bad tech news, but a pure tech journalism resource that would provide the main-stream news/reviews from my favorite media, as well as the not so main-stream news/reviews about the smaller ‘ma-n-pa’ startups like myself with mix of help tips and how-to’s. From this idea, TechSquirt was born in September 2009.
As for many, money is a factor – many blog just to blog, others blog to make money – selling online advertising space on their own or use online advertising affiliate programs like Google AdSense, Kontera or AdBrite. For me, it was a mix of both I wanted to blog just blog (and to have my own voice in the tech world) but I also felt like I needed a reward to continue blogging. Hence why I begin my journey with a online advertising program like Kontera.
As you may or may not know there are many forms of online advertising – video advertising, image banner ads, text-only banner ads and of course in-text advertising. Myself I use a mix of image/text banner ads and in-text advertising. At first, I was foreigner to ‘in-text advertising’, but after doing my research and discovering Kontera, the idea of ‘in-text advertising’ became second nature to me.
Why I chose Kontera for my in-text advertising and no the other guy? Kontera helped me obtain my goals of earning revenue for my blog, not just by providing in-text advertising but providing relevant and engaging information that my users could also engage in themselves. If your looking for simple and easy to use in-text advertising program that is relevant to your content and users – I wouldn’t look no-further then Kontera.
FYI – I don’t work for Kontera either.
