World’s First Multi-Device Charger and Docking System for PC and Mac Laptops, Mobile Phones, Portable Gaming, GPS & Music Devices
Callpod, Inc., an emerging leader in the mobile electronics industry, showcases the Chargepod V2 at the 2010 International CES. The Chargepod V2 is the world’s first multi-device charger and docking system for PC and Mac laptops. In addition, Callpod will also display the Onyx® and Vetro® Bluetooth headsets, which feature ranges of greater than 50 meters — 5X further than traditional headsets.
The Chargepod V2®
The Chargepod V2® is the world’s most versatile and powerful multi-device charger and docking system for PC and Mac laptops and mobile devices. It utilizes a three-sided functional design to support simultaneous operation on all sides of the device:
- Side 1: Charges one PC or Mac laptop.
- Side 2: Charges three small devices such as a iPhone/iPod, BlackBerrys, Cameras, MP3 player, PDA, Bluetooth headset, Kindle, or Sony digital readers, or GPS navigation unit, and one high-input device such as a video camera, portable DVD player, or digital camera.
- Side 3: Features a three-port USB 2.0 hub for data transfer or use of peripheral devices such as a keyboard, mouse, or jump drive.
The Chargepod V2 uses the same device adapters as Callpod’s award-winning Chargepod charger.
It retails for $199.95 and will be available March 2010.
The Onyx®
The Onyx® represents the next generation of Bluetooth headsets, with unsurpassed features, performance and comfort — at an affordable price.
A customized internal amplifier gives the Onyx five times the operating range of a standard Bluetooth headset and enables users to roam up to 50m (164 ft) away from their mobile device. The Onyx supports multiple device pairings, and can connect to a Mac/PC for simultaneous Skype and mobile phone calls or to another Callpod Bluetooth headset for two-way or push-to-talk communication over an 84,000 square foot space.
The Onyx also features Callpod’s new GummyGel(TM) ear bud system, which literally molds itself to the inside of the ear canal for an all-day, comfortable fit.
The new headset fully charges in about three hours. It provides up to five hours of talk time and nearly 200 hours of standby. Like all Callpod Bluetooth products, the Onyx features dual-microphone background noise suppression.
The Onyx retails for $69.95 and will be ready to ship in February 2010.
The Vetro®
The Vetro®, meaning “glass” in Italian, is Bluetooth beauty defined. Its elegant, gender-neutral design puts all the power and functionality of the Onyx into a stylish glass-fronted polycarbonate finish.
The Vetro comes packaged with a USB cable and quick disconnect wall and car adapter. It also includes a micro-USB device adapter compatible for all of Callpod’s power products. Like all Callpod Bluetooth products, the Vetro features dual device active pairing, downloadable firmware and dual-microphone background noise suppression.
The Vetro retails for $99.95 and will be ready to ship in February 2010.
